We’re Brian and Miranda, siblings from Colorado and the founders of Moo Elixir. Like many, we grew up following mainstream American ideas—believing what we were taught was “normal.” We embraced the standard American diet, used conventional skincare products, and never thought much of it. But over time, we began to realize that many of these habits were damaging our health. The skincare products we used were filled with toxic chemicals linked to chronic diseases, and the food we were consuming was harming our bodies on a cellular level. Eventually, we’d had enough.

That’s when Moo Elixir was born. Miranda, who was working in a dermatology office at the time, started to notice that even “high-end” skincare products were loaded with harmful ingredients. Concerned about her own health—and the health of others—she began searching for healthier alternatives. Around the same time, Brian, who had been struggling with acne, introduced her to the benefits of an animal-based lifestyle, particularly the use of beef tallow—a centuries-old skincare ingredient known for its deep nourishment and healing properties.

Inspired by this discovery, Miranda and Brian teamed up to create a completely non-comedogenic, tallow-based moisturizer. They focused on unlocking the full potential of beef tallow with carefully selected, all-natural emollients. This collaboration resulted in a collection of luxurious, clean, and truly innovative skincare products—each formulated to promote health, healing, and beauty in a way that’s unlike anything else on the market.
